The United States Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Services department presented multiple Aurora Public Schools with the HealthierUS School Challenge: Smarter Lunchrooms award!
Congratulations to staff members at the following schools for changing their nutrition environment, improving the quality of the foods they serve and enhancing their physical activity programs:

- Boston K-8 (Bronze)
- Clyde Miller P-8 (Silver)
- Crawford Elementary School (Bronze)
- Elkhart Elementary School (Bronze)
- Iowa Elementary School (Silver)
- Kenton Elementary School (Silver)
- Laredo Elementary School (Silver)
- Montview Elementary School (Silver)
- Paris Elementary School (Silver)
- Park Lane Elementary School (Bronze)
- Peoria Elementary School (Bronze)
- Sable Elementary School (Bronze)
- Side Creek Elementary School (Bronze)
- Tollgate Elementary School (Silver)
- Vassar Elementary School (Bronze)
In honor of their achievement, each school received a plaque, certificate, banner and monetary incentive award. Bronze award winners earned $500 and silver award winners earned $1,000.
The schools will hold their “Smarter Lunchroom” titles until 2021.
