Kudos to the Aurora Public Schools students and staff who participated in the American Heart Association's Jump Rope/Hoops For Heart & Donate To Play Tournaments. By taking part in the heart healthy school program, APS helped spread the important heart healthy message all year long.
In addition, students and staff raised more than $23,000 to support the American Heart Association. APS also earned $1,000 in US Games certificates to buy new physical education equipment for schools! And starting in the 2016-17 school year, school event coordinators will earn eight professional development hours for completing an AHA event.
